Oxford Dictionary defines "Shithole"…
"An extremely dirty, shabby, or otherwise unpleasant place"
President Trump did not make the alleged "shithole" comment. We repeat, “alleged” comment, because, so far, all we have as “corroboration” is the testimony of Illinois Democrat Senator Dick Durbin, an unreliable witness.
Why unreliable?
Because he is one of the ultra-left Democrats in the Senate who have been gunning for Donald Trump even before Trump’s Election Day victory in November 2016! Durbin hopes that his inflammatory accusations against the president will rebound to multiple gains ─ for himself and his fellow Democrats ─ in both the short and long term.
According to Durbin, who attended the president’s meeting with congressional leaders on immigration, President Trump’s comments were “hate-filled, vile, and racist.” The Democrat senator made this statement to the press after President Trump denied the vulgar comments attributed to him by the Washington Post. "In the course of his comments, [he] said things which were hate-filled, vile, and racist," Durbin insisted. "You've seen the comments in the press─ I have not read one of them that's inaccurate... He said those hate-filled things, and he said them repeatedly."
This is a “he-said, she-said” draw that, in most people’s minds, turns on which of the two─ Trump or Durbin─ is more likely to be telling the truth. It was clear from the get-go that the anti-Trump mainstream media accepted the claim from an anonymous source as irrefutable fact. Was Senator Durbin the original source? That is likely, and if so, do his public comments now constitute “corroboration”? And are his characterizations of the president’s remarks as being “hate-filled, vile, and racist” accurate, or is he merely demonstrating that he is stuck in the Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) in which everything the president says, no matter what the topic, is “hate-filled, vile, and racist”?
Democratic senator Durbin made it up and he is known to be a liar. In 2013 he lied about his daughter's tragic death for political gain ... and in 2016 he lied about Obama calling (in a closed door meeting) Libya a "shit-show" country.
And now Dick Durbin is at it again. After the closed door meeting with Trump and 5 other senators last week, Durbin went on national TV to tell reporters that Trump referred to some African countries as "shitholes".
The virulently anti-Trump media and their Democrat allies in Congress intend to flog the alleged “shithole” comment for every drop of blood they can wring from it.
So What Difference Does it Make?
Even if Trump called Haiti or some other African countries as "Shithole" places... which we know now was a Durbin fabrication... how else would you describe, in one simple word, these "extremely dirty, shabby, or otherwise unpleasant places". You got it... “Shithole”... and you will be correct... it is in the English Oxford Dictionary.... look it up.
Sources coming from some who attended the meeting but would not be identified publicly alleged that Trump asked the senators why they would want people from Haiti, Africa and other “s***hole countries” coming into the United States. The unverified story immediately stole the news cycle, with pundits, analysts, and politicians insisting that the alleged remark is evidence of Trump's racism.
Did the president actually make the remark? Or is this another hit piece fabricated by Trump's “Fake News” enemies, who seem hell-bent on bringing him down, by one means or another? And, even if he did use the expletive alleged, has the context been stretched or massaged to make it "racist" and "hateful?" These are important questions that are not being asked. It is not surprising that the anti-Trump media and the president's political enemies are treating the allegation as fact and spinning the story in the most negative way possible. However, even some of the president's supporters have been quick to express alarm and dismay, apparently willing to fully accept the story at face value.
Trump’s Alleged Coarse Remark Aside, Is Immigration From Undeveloped Countries Good for America?
Here’s my applause to the Democrats for derailing the DACA negociations…
