OUR TEAM:
Ramin Fathie

- Ramin has been involved in the making of film, television and media since 1988 when he graduated with a B.A. in cultural Anthropology (Magna cum Laude & Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of California, Berkeley. In his senior year, he was one of only 50 Jacob Javits Fellowship recipients selected from a nationwide pool of applicants. For his course of study, he chose the UCLA Film School, where he obtained a Masters of Fine Arts.

His short film, "Still Point", was nominated for a regional Student Academy Award and was selected by Cinefest Experimental/Madrid. He is also a recipient of the Tri Mark Pictures Fellowship and the Hollywood Foreign Press Scholarship. While at UCLA, he interned as a researcher both for Charlie Rose and WGBH Boston.

In 1995 he relocated to New York for a position with Steven Spielberg’s Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation. For the next two years, he photographed over 500 interviews in the New York area. During that time, he engaged in dozens of freelance assignments as a DP working for such independent filmakers as Morgan Spurlock, James Moll, Barbara Kopple and Josh Harris. He also acted/voiced several comic radio segments with Nancy Giles and Jay Thomas for ABC morning radio. He is past president of UC Berkeley’s International House and was recipient of the Hearst Foundation’s Senate Youth Program as well as the Shell Oil Century III Scholarship. He speaks French, Spanish, and is conversant in Farsi and Swedish.

Marc Cantone

- Mark has produced, directed, written, shot and edited numerous film, TV, web and corporate video projects. His most recent project is Bowling Blind, a short documentary film about a team of visually impaired New York City bowlers. The film was commissioned by AMF Bowling Centers and is set to premiere at film festivals this year.

Recently Marc directed and produced the entire “reality” aspect of "The Edge with Jake Sasseville", a late-night talk show syndicated nationally on cable and the Internet. He also served as a producer/editor for the recent New Kids on the Block reunion media blitz, having produced and edited videos of the group for the web, promotional materials and VH1 “Behind the Music.” Marc is also the director and producer of Clones, a documentary TV series about celebrity impersonators currently in development with Oscar-winning filmmaker James Moll and actor Donnie Wahlberg.

He also wrote and directed "Cutout", a short film starring legendary singer Al Martino (The Godfather) and Robert Funaro (“The Sopranos”). Cutout has appeared in numerous festivals including the Philadelphia Film Festival and the Palm Beach International Film Festival.

As a writer, Marc has written for Bill Cosby’s animated Nickelodeon series, "Fatherhood", created an independent animated pilot for legendary comedians Pat Cooper, Dom Irrera and Dennis Miller, and has completed a number of feature and short length screenplays, including a recently optioned golf comedy. Marc has served as a producer on the Dr. Dog music video for the song “The Ark,” and a reality TV pilot based on the Kenny Ortega produced tour American Dance.

Marc also produces video projects for corporate clients including dELiA*s, Broadway.com, the United Way and others. Marc graduated from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in Writing for Film & Television. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Michael Rosen

Michael Rosen is an award-winning producer, director, and recipient of many honors including five Telly Awards, The Fund's Social Justice Award, the CINE Gold Eagle, and multiple film festival awards.

Over the last 20 years, Rosen has worked with the biggest names in the entertainment industry and has successfully navigated between film, television, and digital. Recently, he worked again with Matt Damon and his international nonprofit, Water.org, to create award-winning original digital content that helps to raise awareness of the global water and sanitation crisis.

Rosen’s other credits include the feature documentary “When I Rise” (worldwide release, broadcast premiere on PBS), the feature documentary “Murder By Proxy” for Key Element Pictures (Limited Theatrical Release, broadcast premiere on The Documentary Channel), the television special “Beyond the Expedition: Running the Sahara,” for National Geographic Channel, and the feature documentary “Running the Sahara,” (limited theatrical release, broadcast premiere on Showtime), executive produced by Matt Damon.

Rosen is Founding Executive Producer for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation’s Archive of American Television, which is the world’s largest digital resource on the history of television. Working closely with co-founders Grant Tinker and David Wolper, Rosen produced 2,000 hours of unedited documentary video interviews with over 500 television legends.

Throughout his career, Rosen has produced and/or directed projects for Bravo, IFC, USA Films (Focus Features), truTV, Warner Bros., Republic Pictures, TV Land, and others.

Paul Yung

- As an Interactive Content Producer, Paul Yung’s experience has focused specifically on interactive projects that bring video, print and web together in the educational and corporate sphere. On his most recent project, as Executive Producer, he oversaw the production and web development of a 20 episode ESL video series, available on DVD and Online.

Previous incarnations of the series, in which he served as an Associate Producer, were aired nationally for over 5 years. The projects involved the creation and management of all creative assets, purchase of over $1,000,000 of production equipment, personnel management and functioning as the project liaison with both city and state government entities.

As an Independent Filmmaker, Yung’s UCLA thesis film won funding through a competitive grant donated by former MCA/Universal Chairman, Lew Wasserman. The film, “Chamber of Dreams” won the UCLA Spotlight Award and was selected to screen at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills.

During his career, he has produced, written, directed and edited documentaries, educational programs, commercials and music videos for a wide variety of clients and artists. He is currently working in a Development capacity at Viceroy Films focusing on the broad array of media opportunities in China.

Yung received his B.A. in Creative Writing & Film Theory from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1987. He went on to obtain an M.F.A. in Film & Television from University of California, Los Angeles where he was mentored by Academy Award winning Director, Jerzy Antczak. In addition to English, Paul is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
